Alexandra & James

6 July 2027 · Leuchars, Fife

Save the date

We’re getting married on Tuesday 6 July 2027 at St Athernase Church, Leuchars, at 14:00.

To help us plan numbers, let us know if you’re hoping to come and how many of you there are. We’ll send your invitation to the email you give us.

The day

14:00

The ceremony is at St Athernase Church in Leuchars. Please be seated by 13:45.

The church is step-free. The Rhynd has a few steps, so if that’s a problem for you, let us know and we’ll sort something out.

Getting there

Everything is in Leuchars, in north-east Fife. The ceremony is at the church, then we all drive a few minutes up the road to The Rhynd for the reception.

By train

Leuchars station is on the East Coast Main Line between Edinburgh and Aberdeen. It’s a 2-minute drive from the church, so you’ll need a taxi from the station. Book your taxi home at the same time.

By car

There’s parking at both the church and The Rhynd. You’ll need a car to get between them, as there’s no shuttle. We’re still checking whether cars can be left overnight at The Rhynd, and we’ll update this once we know.

Where to stay

The closest places to stay, nearest first:

There are also B&Bs around St Andrews. Book early, as the town gets busy in July.

What to wear

The dress code is summer formal.

We’re drawing from Filipino influences on the day, so guests are welcome to wear a Barong Tagalog or a Filipiniana.

If you’re willing to go a step further, try dressing in the colours below. They’re the ones we’re using for the day.

  • Wine
  • Dusty rose
  • Oat
  • Sage
  • Olive

Gifts

Having you there is all we want. If you’d like to give a gift, we’d be grateful for a contribution towards our honeymoon.

We’ll share the details closer to the wedding.

Invitations to follow

We’ll send out invitations nearer the time, with a link to RSVP. That’s where you’ll tell us if you can make it and what you’d like to eat. We’ll need replies by 1 May 2027.
